Houston, We Don’t Have a Problem Every year when I go to the quilting festival in Houston, I’m seriously impressed with all of the cool things people are making with my fabric collection. • Relatively Speaking ... I was #blessed to have more than one #father I was named after the first “Gary Tygert Bruton “ (that’s right my first name is Gary and I’m a Jr. which is interesting because I’m the second son) But this photo really proves the DNA matches. Just check out the #native #tan #nose and #large #hands After years of hearing amazing stories from his musician friends I was able to set up a meeting . One I’ll never forget Not only because we were nothing wearing the same style hat when we met at my aunts house but also the week or so I spent with him and his family in Florida where we worked on building something together ..a sailboat It was truly a bonding experience and considering the sense of humor I’ve always found in the twist and turns of life ... I enjoyed sharing my “#summer #story “ in class especially the part where we launched our #handmade #boat and it sank a few moments into its maiden voyage. But I was truly so glad to have med the man I was so curious about. Now the Man in the second photo was my #stepfather who adopted me and honored me with his last name Nick Pennington was not blood related but loved my mom so much he said yes to the whole package. Including a #hyperactive #adhd chaotic kid and his brother. I learned so many lessons from the man I called Dad His smart wit and dark sense of humor he bestowed upon us all has never left our family. So here’s to the men who shape the rebellious youth into better thoughtful human beings ! #happyfathersday #ps #thanx for the #memories and #lessons and #capable #hands
