It’s an Instagram world and I’m just living in it… or at least it feels that way. Let’s face it. Everybody is a photographer. Whether its a picture of a grumpy cat, your feet in the sand, or a sunset selfie, we all like capturing the moment with a camera. Even though I like the high-res and focus of a REAL camera and the effects you can do to the images after with amazing software, there are some pretty cool apps that let you take that image and really get creative.
Our phones our becoming extensions of our eyes as well as our ears, so I’ve rounded up some of my favorite tools for creating unique images and layouts with your photos.
Diptic, $.99 (iPhone / Android)
If you’ve gone on vacation or had a night out with friends and want to showcase ALL of your photos in one frame, this is the app to do it. It helps create various photo layouts with a simple point and click functionality.
WordFoto, $1.99 (iPhone)
No graphic design tools necessary to make your own word imagery here. WordFoto allows you to use your own words to create graphic images from your own photos. This is a fun tool for creating posters and cards.
Afterlight, $.99 (iPhone / Android)
While Twitter and Instagram offer some cool filters to use, Afterlight really expands your options and also gives you some fun photo framing, cropping and editing functionality on top of that.
Incredibooth, $.99 (iPhone)
Now you can take the photobooth with me wherever I go with this awesome Incredibooth app. Much like their tagline says “it’s a party in your pocket.”
Over, $1.99 (iPhone)
With a variety of font choices, add text to any of your photos to send out messages and announcements.
