Ok folks, it’s time for another update on my NextGen First to the Future project! We’ve had a pretty successful month after demolition day. We’ve been working on preparing the ground, laying the foundation and getting ready for the first slab of the build. So stoked!
Like I said before, we are trying to recycle materials from the old house to use for the build, so here’s a bundle of bricks we saved from the demolition. It’s going to be really cool to see these re-purposed in the new house!
Preparing the foundation for the rest of the home is key, so here are a few behind-the-scenes photos I snapped before the block footings were in place. You can’t build a home without a sturdy and strong infrastructure!
Shout out to all the sponsors who’ve contributed to the project so far, especially the workers who don’t mind getting their hands dirty in the name of innovation…
Hot off the press… looks like a pool, yes? The pool was dug this week and should be finished by next week. Did somebody say cannonball?
And in case you missed it, check out the video below to see what we accomplished in episode 3.
Stay tuned for the next episode people!
