Living in NY is sort of like an international food festival every day. The flavor is everywhere. So for today’s blog I thought I’d share some of my favorite bites of NY and ask you guys what you think.
For starters, I love Bubby’s – a Tibeca staple. Great home cooking, but they seriously have the best breakfast and brunch around for those slow mornings. If you have the chance to try this gem, they’ve got a killer cheese grits and jalapeño scramble.
If you ask me, you can always judge a place by its bathrooms, and Smith and Mills in Tribeca has a cool one. Yes, just one. The restaurant is a small but very cool place with one of the best burgers in the city. Not to mention some unbeatable mussels and burratta cheese. The best part? Hip bar tenders who make some killer drinks all by hand. Talk about mixologists…
Are we on the third course already? The Dutch in SoHo has some great food, too. I have to say the curry sea bass and the spicy lamb tacos are my favorite. And the oyster sliders are seriously insane! The bar staff are always cool and fun which makes it that much better.
On Sundays I like to hit up a really cool spot called the Hideaway. Sunday is crab day, so you get buckets of crack n eat blue crab. They might be messy, but that’s the price you pay for deliciousness.
Okay, I’m stuffed for now. Until next time…
