Last Look: Top Trends from the Canadian Home Furnishings Market
I was recently asked to select my “must haves” from The Canadian Home Furnishings Market (TCHFM) show, and it wasn’t an easy task! This year’s show was brimming with amazing new furniture, accessories and appliances. I fell in love with so many items, as did the many attendees at the show.
So this year was by far one of my favorites and it proved to me that the TCHFM show is always the place to be when it comes to interiors and design. That said, I did eventually have to narrow my choices. So check them out below…
One of my favorite trends is the retro Palm Springs look that emerged from the show. This look is a fresh combination of jet set style and mid century glamour.
From the cool LED changeable lamp and shades from Montreal based “Fat Boy” to the Slim Arron’s print, there is nothing not to love about this look. To bring a touch of the Palm Springs style into your space, consider bringing in some pattern on different fabrics, like this fabulous throw from Merban.
Another one of my favourite trends at this year’s TCHFM show was the “eclectic” Asian and Moroccan inspired furnishings and accessories that peppered the show. Fun and whimsical lamps (like this parrot one from Plum Design) and light fixtures complemented this eclectic trend and would be right at home in a hotel or loft space.
Tune into my next post where I recap a few more of my top “must haves” from TCHFM to bring into your home.
