Inspiration | Extreme Village Makeover
Ok so if you’ve been following the news (or my Instagram) you might have noticed I’ve been working on an insanely cool project for the Give Kids the World Village. If you haven’t heard of it, GTKW invites families of terminally ill children to visit FL and it’s cool attractions, and let me tell you, it’s pretty magical!
While in FL, families stay in one of GKTW’s 146 villas. The only problem was that these villas haven’t been updated for 25 years, and it was time for an extreme change. So I partnered with Good Morning America in a 2-week race against the clock to renovate and give the villas (and the families that visit) a fresh place to kick back and enjoy. We had volunteer crews working everyday and it was such a huge project, it definitely needed more than 7 days…

Before and after with GKTW President, Pamela Landwirth
The entire village is staffed by thousands of volunteers each year, and my big project was focused on the volunteer center. We just showed the BIG reveal on Good Morning America, but if you missed it, click the link below.
Of course the work was hard and challenging, but it was absolutely incredible to see everybody come together for a really great cause. These kids deserve a fun place to stay and through teamwork and dedication, we were able to bring it to them.
Of course there was time for fun, so I got to hang with some of Disney’s finest furries. Here’s a pic of me and Mr. Duck. Still can’t understand what he’s saying…
