Inspired By: Impressions for Spring
Ok folks, now that spring has sprung and my inspiration is in full bloom, I wanted to share my next line of Impressions fabrics for the new quarter. I’ve always been a fan of geometric shapes (especially honeycombs) and some of my greatest inspiration happens to come from the things I’m surrounded by most.
So my next line of fabrics will be true the trends and things like architecture, nature and travel. I think when you combine sharp shapes and bold colors with a little vintage touch, you get something pretty unique and awesome. And that’s exactly what I was shooting for with my latest designs. Let me break it down for you real quick…
This is a rest stop I spotted during my Norwegian adventures. I really dig the sharp angles and Mother Nature’s colors. From rooftops and street stops, to bee hives and cut tiles, honeycomb patterns are everywhere!
He might not know it, but vintage style totally suits this pup and palette. Throwback to the classics.
Contrasting colors in architectural decision is a great way to turn heads. Not to mention, orange is the happiest color!
I love a town that isn’t afraid to be bold with colors and shapes! Stavanger, Norway… I’m looking at you!
The geometric shapes built into mid-century concrete has also been a long-time favorite of mine, so I was inspired to transform the look for fabrics and crafts.
And last but not least, here’s a close-up of my Arrow Slate pattern. Cupid has nothing on me!
