Ty’s Take | Get Creative

Hope you had a nice weekend but it’s Monday, which means it’s time to get down to business folks.

This week, I’m challenging you to get your hands dirty. No, not cleaning or organizing, this week it’s about creativity.

Take the time this week to take on a creative project. It’s one of my personal favorite things to do- and you really can’t go wrong. Don’t worry about the end result, it’s about the process here.

Here are some ideas:

Paint

CreativeChallenge1

I suggest going abstract if you’re a beginner. Geometric shapes a are a cool way to get started.

Sculpt

CreativeChallenge2

Hey, who said snow and sand don’t count? Creativity is creativity.

Sketch

CreativeChallenge3

A lot of my design ideas and fabric concepts come from doodles. I’ve also framed some of my own sketches in my home before- any art looks good when you frame it.

Quilt

CreativeChallenge4

It’s no secret that I think quilts are pretty cool.

Collage

CreativeChallenge5

If you don’t consider yourself particularly creative this is a good place to start. Make a collage of colors, places and things that inspire you.

Capture it in a picture

CreativeChallenge6

The best photographs make you see something in a new light. Consider a beautiful thing you see daily and try and capture it in a photo.

Knit

CreativeChallenge7

Not going to claim to have experience in this one, but I’ve been told it’s a relaxing way to get creative- test out this claim.

Good luck people!

And I want to know how it goes, so comment about your getting creative below.
